Our generous Community Donors are MATCHING donations between June 1st and June 30th! According to the U.S Census Bureau 13.4 % of residents in Seneca County live in poverty. Children are going hungry, senior citizens are choosing between groceries and medicine, and parents are going without so their kids have enough to eat. You can help change that! Our goal is to get to $30,000 in donations from people and organizations. If we hit this goal, that means we’ll reach the maximum matching donation for a total of $60,000! YOU can help make this happen!
For the past seven years, the Seneca County House of Concern’s Need to Feed Challenge has been an important element in keeping the organization’s food pantry stocked and the non-profit agency equipped to help those with food insecurity in our local communities as well as bring awareness to the needs of our neighbors in Seneca County.
This year as the need continues, sponsors have contributed nearly $30,000 to “The Need to Feed” sponsor fund.  We are now reaching out to the community to match the sponsor donations. Every donation of food (calculated at $1 per can) or money received will also be counted towards our total.
