Join us for a day of fun paddling down the Cayuga-Seneca Canal from Waterloo to Seneca Falls to benefit the Seneca County House of Concern on August 12, 2023!

This annual event has been a success in bringing friends, supporters and the community together for a fun-filled day of outdoor activity while raising money to benefit the organization’s food pantry.

Like a walk-a-thon, kayakers and canoers are encouraged to raise their entry contributions by asking family, friends, and co-workers to donate pledge money. Prizes are awarded to those who raise the most money. It is similar in format to other physical activity based fundraising events but this low intensity, non-competitive event is ideal for a variety of ages.

There is a a visual scavenger hunt and a reception with music, a picnic and a celebration when participants disembark at the Seneca Falls Recreation Center.

Participants can enter individually or form teams of four. Being it is a fun, light-hearted event, teams are encouraged to give themselves a name and wear costumes or decorate their vessels.

Note:  The Seneca County House of Concern is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible.

Because of generous sponsors 100% of the proceeds go toward serving the Seneca County House of Concern’s Mission: “To help those in need with basic necessities such as food, clothes, and household items and to treat everyone with dignity and respect.”
