Seneca Falls Recreation and Parks will again partner with the Seneca County House of Concern to host a “Kids Helping Kids” Charity 1-Mile Color Run. Kids and adults of all ages are encouraged to join for a fun morning that ends with splashes and showers of vibrant colored chalk at the finish line.
Organized to help raise awareness and funds to assist community neighbors experiencing food insecurity, the 1-Mile Color Run will be held at 9am on Saturday, June 8th, 2019 at the Mynderse Academy Track and Field, located at 105 Troy Street in Seneca Falls.
With the food insecurity rate in Seneca County nearing 12%, this means thousands of people, including many children, are going to bed hungry every night. Proceeds from this year’s Color Run will help support the mission of the Seneca County House of Concern to reduce food insecurity and shortages in community households.
Interested participants can register at the Seneca Falls Community Center, which is located at 35 Water Street, or on race day at the Mynderse Academy Track and Field location from 8:15am-9:00am.
The registration fee is only $15 and those who register by May 29th will receive a free t-shirt.
The Color Run registration form is available at the Seneca Falls Community Center or online at https://houseofconcern.org/color-run
