The mission of the Seneca County House of Concern is to help those in need with basic necessities such as food, clothes and household items—and to treat everyone with dignity and respect. In October 2021, with the help of local government, residents and businesses, the House of Concern opened its new home in Waterloo. The space allows the organization to better serve its clients, expand its food pantry and operate a brighter, more welcoming thrift store for everyone that walks through its doors.
