The United Way of Seneca County held its annual meeting and volunteer recognition on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Holiday Inn. The meeting was a look back at the previous year, acknowledging outgoing board members and welcoming new leadership, recognizing the donors, agencies, businesses, and the volunteers from partnering agencies that do the work of helping others in Seneca County.
The Seneca County House of Concern recognized Gary Ippolito who has a regular presence at our agency. His positive attitude, self motivation and deep caring for the mission of the organization made him the unanimous choice for this year’s representative for recognition as our Volunteer of the Year.
While Gary’s preference is to be working outside keeping our facility a neat, tidy and welcoming presence in our community, he also embraces the need to keep the Thrift Store an organized and pleasant place to shop for our community and our clients. He brings joy to the staff and inspires everyone to work harder and be better people. Gary’s dedication and perseverance makes our small organization a nicer place to visit and he is an example of the type of organization the House of Concern is. A place that feeds minds with knowledge, stomachs with food and hearts with hope.
Congratulations Gary on your well-deserved recognition! We truly appreciate your hard work and thank you for all that you do at the Seneca County House of Concern.
