In August the Seneca Falls Rotary Club donated a commercial freezer to the food pantry through their matching District Simplified Grants Program. The Rotary Foundation issues matching grants to local Rotary Clubs for a project of their choosing that will help the club focus their service efforts.
The foundation understands that each community has its own unique needs and concerns. In this case the grant was used to help fight hunger here in Seneca County.
Having proper equipment, such as freezers, is an integral part of the House of Concern’s ability to feed over 400 households several thousand meals each month. This new freezer will provide the space needed to store and distribute more food to our clients.
