Several events are planned in support of the Seneca County House of Concern including a Garden Party, Fruit and vegetable workshop, motorcycle rally, chicken BBQ and car wash.
The Seneca County Community Garden will be holding a “Garden Party” on Monday May 21st at 6:00pm at the garden which is located on the south side of the canal behind Ferrara Lumber. All interested people feel free to attend. There are master gardeners and novices alike in this group. There are still 4 plots available. $8 per plot. Bring a dish to pass and your desire to garden or to pass your gardening knowledge along to others.
On Monday June 4th at 10:30, the House of Concern…33 State Street Seneca Falls… will be hosting a workshop…“Just Say Yes to Fruits and Vegetables”.
Leslie Elliot will demonstrate a nutritious easy recipe…there will be handouts, a delicious recipe to sample and a free gift for all who participate. There is no cost for this fun and informative training.
Calling all motorcyclists, (but you don’t need to ride a bike to join us). The Seneca County House of Concern will be holding a bike rally on Saturday, June 9th around Cayuga Lake First bike out at 11:00. There will be three stops along the way: O’Malleys, Rogues Harbor, The Fargo and then ending at Deweys Party House. End the day with a Chicken BBQ and live entertainment by the Infra Red Radition Orchestra. Tickets are $10.

You don’t need to join in the Motorcycle rally to join us for the Chicken BBQ with music by The Infra Red Radiation Orchestra at Dewey’s Party House 67 Auburn Road from 5:00- 7:00. Eat -In or take out. Tickets are $10.00 Presale available now at The House of Concern. Your participation helps to stock the shelves of the food pantry.
Finally, on Saturday, June 16th, volunteers from the Seneca Falls United Methodist Church Youth Group will be on hand at Five Star Bank on the corner of Rt. 414 and 5&20 for a Car Wash. Proceeds go to the House of Concern.
